Becky Barnes has been experimenting with art from an early age, which grew into a lifelong passion. Growing up in a multi-ethnic household, she inherited from her father a love of the outdoors and from her mother an appreciation for world arts and culture. Her art reflects this, drawing inspiration from the natural world and multicultural traditions. A child at heart, Becky seeks to convey tranquility, whimsy, innocence, and occasionally humor through art. Becky is also an amateur photographer, and often references her photography in creating her drawings and paintings. Her preferred mediums are ink on paper, and acrylic paint on canvas. She is a member of the Arlington Artist’s Alliance, and the proud pet parent of a rescue dog named President Madison.
